[citation][nom]Silmarunya[/nom]Sorry, but Facebook is already too much of a household name for Google to stand a chance. There are 3 main groups of people today:- Those that are happy with Facebook and will likely stay there, no matter what Google does.- Those looking to get out of Facebook because their privacy matters to them. Google's reputation on privacy is just as bad, so Google won't be able to fish in that pond either.- Those (like me) that don't want social networking: again, very little to gain there for Google +1[/citation]
Google is even more of a household name than Facebook. Not to mention that Google's privacy problems are about the data they collect, not what they leak to third parties like Facebook. Obviously any social media site is going to collect data about you, its what they do with that data that should concern people.
