Solved! GoPro Hero 3+

I have a 3+ which i would like to run off a external 12v lawnmower battery. Treat it like a trail cam. Has anyone done this and how did you do the wiring? On a side note has anyone seen a lockable case for a hero3+ so I can mount to a tree? Thanks in advance! Brian

Seems it will charge off wall power and record at the same time, get a UPS or a larger battery bank for charging phones, etc... and hook up the camera to that, just plug the USB charger to the UPS.

There is no real security case for the gorpo but not too hard to make one, get any case you want to use, cut a window in it for the lens.
