I have a 3+ which i would like to run off a external 12v lawnmower battery. Treat it like a trail cam. Has anyone done this and how did you do the wiring? On a side note has anyone seen a lockable case for a hero3+ so I can mount to a tree? Thanks in advance! Brian

Seems it will charge off wall power and record at the same time, get a UPS or a larger battery bank for charging phones, etc... and hook up the camera to that, just plug the USB charger to the UPS.
