Got a random add on steam, they proceeded to message me my home address.

Has this happened to anyone else? How on earth did they get access to that?
Is there something I should do aside from blocking the person?
It really freaked me out.

Since people can't get your personal details from Steam itself you should make sure you don't have any links on your profile to things like skype as people can get your details from your skype username and also your email. Really the only thing you can do is make sure you don't have any of your personal details public. Make sure your steam profile and preferably any of your other online social media accounts' privacy settings are set to friends only or private.
