Got it last night. I hate the sort on the NPL, they removed the one I
use. Other than that, seems OK.

Got mine last week. I certainly like the folders. Especially with my
Weaknees upgrade. It was needed.

Same here.

The guide is definitely faster, and the wishlist search seems faster.
The folders display is nice.

FYI: the HMO ( home media option ) software is there, but not enabled.
There are hacks ( I haven't tried them yet ) to get two 6.2 DTV Tivos
exchanging shows....

Also... the new kernel that comes with the 6.2 software is large disk
capable, so you can put in a 250gig drive ( with the proper hacks ) and
your kernel/tivo will use the whole 250gig. The previous software didn't
have a LBA48 kernel, so you were limited to 120gig drives. I've got 219
hours of record time on my DirecTV Tivo with the new 6.2 software and
my 200gig ( I think it's 200gig.. maybe 250gig ) drive.

Mine hasn't upgraded yet. My NPL sorts by date (new to oldest). The mailer
Directv sent says you can sort the NPL either alphabetically or by date
recorded with the new 6.2. Did yours use to sort differently than these two
ways? Or is the mailer incorrect?

In the old software you could sort by Date / Alpha / Expiration.

Date would have all my recently recorded shows at the bottom of the NPL
just above anything I had marked as SUID. Now it sorts all the recent
stuff at the top (which confuesed me at first because of the folders)
and my SUID stuff is integrated into the sort. Its really just a matter
of getting used to it, soon enough I will be asimilated.

You don't need to hack to upgrade to a 250Gb drive from the original
40-80Gb HD. My 251Gb Maxtor gives me 236 Hr's.
