HI all

I have just ordered a 5550 and now need to purchase a gps solution,
basically I need maximum battery life (don't we all), a fair amount of
storage for mp3's & other files and conectivity to my desktop via bluetooth.
Also compatibility with an Ipaq 3630 wich I will be giving to my girlfriend.

I was thinking of ordering the following items taking in to account storage,
battery and compatibility requirements:

Pretec CompactGPS-Low Power CF Card
Nexian NexiPak iPAQ Dual CF Jacket + Removable Battery
eXpansys 256MB Compact Flash Card
Belkin F8T001 Bluetooth USB Adaptor (100m Range

OR

Belkin F8T001 Bluetooth USB Adaptor (100m Range
eXpansys 256MB Compact Flash Card
Emtac iPAQ GPS Jacket

Are these items compatible with both pda's? Is there a cheaper alternative?
What are the major differences in the two gps systems?

TIA
Cheers
Marc

Marc,

I use the Belkin F8T0001 on my laptop to connect with my 5550 and I've
had no issues at all - it works just fine.

I use the Tom Tom GPS receiver (wired, not Bluetooth) with Tom Tom
Navigator 2 (about to upgrade to v3). Because it's wired into the
car, it has no impact on battery life (in fact, my iPaq is normally
re-charged when I get out of the car). Navigator can be activated on
2 iPaqs at the same time so that might fulfil your requirement
although you would need to move the gps receiver/mounting kit from one
vehicle to another. Again, I do this as I have 2 cars and sometimes I
use the wife's too so I know that this is not a problem and is quick
to accomplish.
