GPU Dead?

Hi guys. Acquired an old Asus Eee PC 901 netbook which had been sat round a family friends house. Was going to use it as a cheap Linux toy.
However, when it tries to boot up and has no display what so ever, no BIOS screen no nothing. Even connected it to an external display but nothing. I have tried reseating the ram and have reset the CMOS but still no luck. Was thinking of flashing the BIOS as a last resort, and if no joy was going to put it in the bin assuming it had been KIA. Also the fan doesn't spin on boot.

Any ideas?

You cannot flash the bios with no graphics...

They were terrible underpowered machines in the first place, and netbooks are never worth spending serious money on to repair...

Drop in bin...
