GPU to Reciever and TV via HDMI?

Hello,
Can someone help me? I would like to know the best way to hook up my PC to TV and Reciever? all conections will be HDMI. Question may be a bit lengthy.
My thoughts are...
HDMI from PC video card into my Reciever input #1. Reciever HDMI output to TV?
OR
HDMI from GPU to TV, then TV output into reciever?
Will GPU carry sound to TV and Reciever?

Your connection should be PC --> Receiver --> HDTV. HDMI carries the audio from the PC to the Receiver (and TV).
