[citation][nom]Strider-Hiryu_79[/nom]It is a perk for buying the collector's edition. Don't like the 5 extra cars that's included with the collector's edition as well as it's other perks? 3 words "don't buy it"Considering that GT5 has over 900+ cars in the game to unlock/purchase; 5 exclusive cars(probably variations of in-game cars with different decals and parts, parts tuning settings) seems like a nice reward for purchaser's of the collector's edition.[/citation]
I agree, as long as they don't hold back cars that people really want to make extra money off of DLC.

I have purchased every GT game since the original. One thing I've learned is NEVER BELIEVE THE RELEASE DATE UNTIL YOU SEE IT ON THE SHELF I've had this on reserve for years and I can't wait till it comes out. Just have to understand, it's gonna take a while. But it better be worth it. Usually is.

[citation][nom]CChick[/nom]GT-R is Ricer car when it eats Porsche 911 for breakfast ? and thats not even GT-R, its the Spec V. Dont hate because your garbage American counter-part can't do the same thing at GT-R's price point.its time to get ur head out of your ass to the real world moron.[/citation]

Actually I'm pretty sure the corvette offers performance about equal to the GTR for less money, don't get me wrong I love the GTR but performance for price value, the Vette wins.

[citation][nom]rooket[/nom]lol @ +13 on this post. A superhcarged Mustang GT will outrun a GT-R. There's a video of it on youtube. Plus costs less than half.GT-R is a silly car, overpriced and out of reach to their Skyline fans. It is kind of cool but I mean who pays $80k+ for a Japanese car? you'd have to be completely stupid. I can buy a preowned Ferrari for that much money. Guess which of the two cars would be getting looks? Even Mustangs get a lot more looks than a GT-R. GT-R still looks as rice as anything coming out of Japan.[/citation]

I love this banter about why X car sucks and why X car is better.
I really love the "supercharged mustang beats a GT-R" comment lol.
I dont have the patience or typing endurance to explain how absurd some of these comparisons are.
Really though, those people that understand just laugh at this stuff.
Those that dont understand never will. Period.
If you truly believe bolting a supercharger in a Mustang puts it in the same class as a GT-R or Z-06 then all you do is prove my point above.
You go on caring about how many "looks" your car gets.
Let the adults enjoy the real cars.

I have been waiting for GT5 since I started playing GT4. Hell, since I was born.
Prologue was a joke...any news about this game is good news.
I started to think it was just going to get canceled. (Duke Nukem Forever anyone...)
I have full trust in Polyphony to pull off a stellar title as usual.
Where can I send my money?

[citation][nom]kyzar[/nom]As someone who appreciates that it has been delayed due to the sheer amount of work going into the game I'll happily buy the premium version. It's late for a reason![/citation]
SUCKER!!!!!

Hey just wondering if any of you have every built or tuned on any real cars. Yes you can turn just about anything into a high performance machine. Thats what the whole ( maybe i should say 'most')aftermarket scene is about. Most people have no concept of just what can be done to factory cars. How about a crx with 545hp at the front tires? BIG turbo makes it easy these days. Big sway bars, lowered springs and shocks, polyurethane bushings, tubular a-arms, the list is endless. Those of us who are truley in the know can take any car and make it better than anything that ever left anyones factory. I own a 57 Oldsmobile that will spank most new cars regardless of where they came from, and NOT just in a straight line, but on the mountain roads of NC where I live. So yah, you can build an old 60 something mustang that wil leave a GT-R sitting still. Of course, you could also build the GT-R. More times than not though, its not the car that limits it's performance, rather the 'hot shoe' sitting behind the wheel.

This will be the only reason i buy a PS3, and by the time it comes out, maybe the PS3 will be $249(i hope). This series is the only reason i bought a PS2 as well.

has everyone forgotten about the ZR1s/vipers...cuz they are cheap and faster then the vspec in a drag and around a track..i like the vspec, but the comments above about US cars sucking just don't hold water. 107kfor the vette and 110k for the viper gets you cars faster then ferrari's vpsec's lamboss...pretty much anything you can drive on a highway. The V-SPEC is 160k and still was a second slower, the slow ass non cornering viper acr smoked both the vpec and the ZR-1 and no other closed wheel street legal car has been video verified as faster so ya US cars suck and cant corner.....

[citation][nom]gm0n3y[/nom]Incorrect. The Z06 has posted a time of 7:43, the GT-R has a time of 7:29 (or 7:26 though I'm not sure if that run was stock). The ZR1 (7:26) beat the GT-R. The GT-R Spec-V should equal or better the ZR1.Not to mention that the GT-R is actually a daily driver with a great interior and technology. The only reason the prices are similar (z06 $74k, gt-r $84k, zr1 $106k) is because Nissan is selling them at a loss.[/citation]I probably should have checked on that.. I knew it was one of them! Thanks for the lookout.

if they are the only cars that come as DLC i don't have a problem with it. I do have a problem if you are expected to pay extra for more performance in the game.

if they are the only DLC cars and its just aesthetics then thats fine, but i would be really disappointed with polyphony if they try and make money of people trying to complete the game by buying faster cars instead of racing to get them.

There's only one question, will it be better than Forza? fanboys chill out, and judge the contest when the game actually comes out... i hope there's some serious competition cause i am getting sick of paying for stuff that should've been in the game or used to be a free addon...

Wow guess they're trying to make up for taking 4 years too damn long to release this. From what I can gather there is finally cosmetic damage (going off the movie they threw up at CES) so it'll finally be like Forza in that respect. No self tuned cars will be a disappointed but that's still up in the air from what I can tell.

I myself will be buying the limited edition for the added merchandise, the keychain and the included book.

Just hope that half of the cars this game has ins't variations of the skyline... sorry but I don't need the R31 type-S, GTR, GTR V-SPEC, V-SPEC II, MP V-SPEC, N1, Mine's, HKS.... ect. Then you have all teh R-32 R-33 and R-34 variations on top of that. And they don't even include something like a '02 Trans Am ? C'mon.

The fuck are you talking about the porshe or the scion? Their german and japanese you dumb sack of shit. God why is it suddenly so cool to hate America?

[citation][nom]liquidchild[/nom]... US cars suck and cant corner.....[/citation]

Because everybody should be drifting around city streets and highways right? I'll take my American V8 and use the torque to easily pass people and merge onto the interstate in front of everybody else all while my A/C is on.

Sign me up. I've been a fan of Gran Turismo since I played the first one. I turned into a kid in a candy store during E3 when they finally gave a release date.

[citation][nom]2ms[/nom]Try not to be so ignorant. It's people like you that make Japanese culture look bad. I'm probably more Japanese than you are. My grandmother is from Japan.[/citation]

You can claim Japanese all you want but you can never go up against an actual Japanese, born and raised there for half his life. Which I happen to be.

Also, I happen to dislike people like you that claim to be something, but has actually no clue about it.

The fact that the GT-R is based on the FX35/45 platform shows you how versatile the Nissan engineers made the platform. Just because it's used for a 4000lb SUV doesn't make the GT-R some "ricer car".
