Green Light flashing on power light but TV will not power on???

My TV will not power on. There is a green light flashing where it says power. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in but that did not help? Has anyone else had this problem and solved it?

It might help if you could provide us with the exact model of your TV. I don't think there is enough information right now to make any guesses.

I have the same problem. My TV is a Sharp Aquos bought 7 years ago. I'd really appreciate if you tell me what to do. Thanks! Nina
