GSM sim card work in the CDMA phone?

i have CDMA GALAXY note edge when i insert the GSM sim in my phone, phone give message invalid sim card, what is the solving ?

Most likely your Galaxy note edge is locked to a network (Sprint, Verizon or US Cellular?). You would need to unlock it first, and your carrier should help if it is no longer under contract.

thanks RealBeast ,you are want tell me, i must unlock my phone before , but i wasn't seeing any thing about the unlocking , but just when i insert my sim in the phone, it will appear note in the upper left (invalid sim card) no other else .
