Hi,

I'm looking to buy a Sager NP9753 (Clevo P750ZM-G) from Xotic PC, which features a 4K 60Hz Sammy IPS panel that supports G-SYNC technology. This model comes with a single 8GB GTX 980M, which won't drive graphics at 4K high settings. Since a major marketing point of this model is that it is fully upgradeable, I'm wondering if I'll be able to upgrade the card to a card featuring next year's Pascal architecture, which would apparently be able to drive next-gen graphics at 4K.

The reason I ask this question is because upgradeability can be limited... for instance, when Skylake CPUs come out, they feature a new 1151 socket type that will force consumers to buy an entire new mobo if they want to upgrade beyond Broadwell/Haswell architectures. SO, with the info available today about the upcoming pascal architecture, i'm asking if anyone knows whether it will be compatible with today's so-called "upgradeable" rigs.

Thanks.
