Though I really like this idea, I just wont pay for another "band simulator" outside of a Harmonix made game ever again. Activision has just killed this series since Guitar Hero 3. It's a shame Harmonix sold them the series.

I hope they adopt this idea for Rock Band, but even if the don't it'll still be Rock Band only for me.

How is that going to work? When you mess up, it stops the music or makes a jacked up noise... Who gets to carry the song? Or does it mess up every time anyone messes up? You won't even hear the song if too many people suck.

I like them both. Rock band and guitar hero. Both are practically the same shit. Different songs. Thats it, oh yeah and two different names made by two different publishers/developers. Beyond that guys its the same shit.

I love my games, but I'd rather play real music. I take my guitar and saxaphone wherever I want. Alas, it is hilarious sometimes to watch ppl get excited when they play these titles...

Good god,

You people annoy the hell out of me. Of course the game isn't real, I don't think anyone thinks they can shred out crazy solos after playing Capri di Diablo on easy. It's a game, idiot. I don't criticize people who play Virtua Fighter, and get in their face about how they can't do any of that in reality.

Just because no one cares about your crappy guitar playing, doesn't give you license to attack people who just want to have fun.

The difference between guitar hero and virtua fighter is you don't stand around throwing punches and high-kicks to play virtua fighter (unless you play on the Wii). It might be fun to play, but you look like a douchebag doing so (kinda like DDR).

Yeah, its all pretend, but imagine those nerds sitting around a dark table dressed like wizards and rangers swinging cardboard swords and chanting in elven. I lump guitar hero in with those guys.

Wow, you are too worried about how you look to have some fun. You're so cool.

That's because he doesn't know how to have fun. I love me some Rock Band when I'm partying with my friends. But hellwig must not have any friends, or he'd understand why we like these games...

I gave up on Guitar Hero when I got bored with medium, and the jump to hard is impossible. Rock Band feels more natural, and I've found my niche, which is Bass on Expert. Good thing no one else likes bass.

Not sure why xboxps3wiiman was muted (beyond his strange name) but I completely agree.

Jaded is the new black.

To be honest, beyond just having fun, Rock Band is also a good tool for getting newer musicians to learn how to play together, and a great vocal coach for our lead singer. Our drummer learned the basics of drumming from whacking those colored pads. Edutainment!
