I mean, yes, largely youtube isnt intended for children. But when they hacked the main site? Thats the true outrage...parents with their kids on the computer may well go to that page and click a link...

@amk-aka-phantom

and i guess by the same token if someone replaced your desktop wall paper with a picture of your mom doing the deed then that would be funny too

it's a prank that can be easily rectified but what has been seen can't be unseen

[citation][nom]Inanition02[/nom]I hope you never have children, for humanity's sake.[/citation]

For the the sake of humanity as you see it - a bunch of hypocrite careless drama queens who 1) are afraid that their kids will see pr0n but are not afraid of them seeing bloodbaths in action movies 2) let their kids on the web and get upset when they find something more than cartoons there 3) overreact when someone's POV doesn't match theirs. Yes, for the sake of THAT humanity pray that people like me never have kids

[citation][nom]michaelahess[/nom]amk-aka-phantom, if you had kids you'd understand why you are coming across as a 3 year old right now.[/citation]

Your point contradicts itself. You're accusing me of being juvenile, but if I am, it means I'm speaking from the kids' perspective. And I'm saying that I wouldn't give a $h!t about such a prank. Ever thought of that?

Ok, so -

1. Most people dont let their 3 year olds watch bloody action movies. I know i certainly dont.

2. I didnt talk about letting kids just play on the internet. I would never do that. Im talking about a parent handling the mouse and wanting to access the extra enrichment content supposedly found on the sesame street website. Which they had vetted previously. Now, with their child beside them, its suddenly explicit. How can that be avoided? The internet has a ton of good material - to deny that or to not use it is to lose a great advantage of the modern age. You cant just say, no computer or internet, even with a parent there.

3. In who's sick, twisted POV is it ok for little children to be shown explicit pornographic material?

1. I meant the general attitude of everyone raging about pr0n being seen by people under 18, yet it's fine for them to see bloody action movies. Not necessarily 3-year-olds... I guess it was a bad example in this context.

3. It is not. I never said it's okay. I only said that...

...2. That's EXACTLY the part that is funny - the embarrassment of parents.

Ummm...the parents arent embarrassed. They are shocked and appalled they were helpless to prevent their children from being potentially scarred. How is that funny? Is it funny to give little kids psychological issues?

And before you say they dont have any...kids are easily impressionable - seeing much less has caused many to end up in therapy.

Call it whatever you want, shocked, appalled... it's still funny watching people rage about something so minor.

Easily impressionable? Damn, now I know why I'm so much into gaming... I played Quake 1 back when I was like 9, despite it being "completely inappropriate" for such age, judging by American standards, and I love gaming ever since :) Easily impressionable != easily traumatized (the HELL is traumatizing about pr0n?)

1. Big difference for 9 versus sesame st age.

2. Big difference between shooting really pixelated alien sprites in quake 1 and super hd PHOTOS of a woman that might look like your mother/aunt/preschool teacher on an 'anal quest'....huge difference.

3. I take it from your responses that you are a guy, 14-24 years of age. I invite you to show the article to a woman, your age or older and see if they find it funny or appalling. And then to remember that women make up the majority or the population. And that its likely that you want to be in a lasting relationship with one someday.

4. Something to ponder - however you are now, maybe you would have turned out better if you hadnt played quake...more caring maybe?

So you think its okay to mentally scar a toddler just for lulz? That's sorta why people are comparing you to a pedophile... what you're arguing would be no different than you going out in public with pron on your phone and showing that to kids just to 'embarrass' the parents. What do you think would happen if you tried that? Do you think since you or anyone else hides behind their monitor like a coward it makes it any better?

I laughed my a$$ off at sony getting hacked. I watch probably too much porn myself on a daily basis. But even I can clearly see what these people did was going way over the line.

No offense but you're coming off like some entitled punk who doesn't know his head from a hole in the ground.

This is an attack, of a sexual nature, on children.

Not funny.

And we think that the evil corporations are out there to harm children's minds. The so-called freedom fighters who hack and disturb are even worse for a child, we can obviously see. Every day they care less about who they hurt.
