[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]Another point to note, a seriously sexually repressed era of Victorian England gave rise to huge amounts of abuse by figures in positions of trust, such as childrens homes or choirboys being sodomised by Catholic priests. Thank god those days are behind us all.Sex is not dirty(unless you are doing it right)[/citation]
thank u man... this was definately true... and anyway... it wasnt societys fault... it was the church... but thats a different topic
as for this... even dirty sex, should be exposed(limited of course) to kids... it makes them more open and understanding to it... and if not, u will get the following:
aids outbreak
teen pregnancys
many(and i mean thousands) of other stds
rape
molestation
and definately a strong discriminatory treatment to those who think differently
so... all said... u conservative old farts can go and paint a fence, and for those who dont have a brush, u can go kick a bucket

[citation][nom]amk-aka-phantom[/nom]Wow. You're weak-minded[/citation]

The proper response would have been "You were weak-minded", but since we are talking about the mind of a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grader, I'm not sure its appropriate to say "weak" given the age and development.

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]Did you use the initial self-righteous rant to have a partisan pop at Republican politics?Sorry, you just lost all credibility by trying to score political points.I was obviously joking, you are obviously serious.[/citation]

I did not seek credibility. It wasn't a self-righteous rant, just the truth. Well, as truthful as possible when trying to reflect on very distant memories / experiences.

Political points? What were you joking about? I didn't read any of your comments so none of this connected to anything you said or did in any way. No. I simply offered a better target of this prank that would have garnered it more favorable comments. Republicans are just a better target as many are really conservative (Bible belt for instance), so this prank would have a lot more punch since the material is 180 degree turn from the conservative Republicans. The comment was also to "lighten" the mood and balance the overall comment so as to not come across completely serious. I wanted to provide any reader a little of both, seriousness and lightheartedness.

[citation][nom]amk-aka-phantom[/nom]This. I've read the story yesterday night on several news websites, and Tom's Guide is first to somehow connect it all to LulzSec.And I don't give a $h!t about guidelines ... this is a great prank! I just wish it was somehow done on actual TV kids channel... that'd be hilarious... who the hell watches YouTube kids channels?[/citation]

My four year old son for one. He has been doing so since he was three. He can read and as well as write and type. He uses YouTube to watch such content. He was not exposed to this tasteless prank thankfully and I certainly do not find it funny. Even though I am always right next to my son whenever he uses my laptop or PC and he has a heavily limited account where he can go and do even in this case my son would have still been exposed.

Anyone with a ounce of decency would not target certain people/places. Whoever these hackers were lack any decency and have no sense of morality. This is as tasteless when a epilepsy site was hacked and filled with flashing images. If they must find someone to target the least they can do is do so against either a group that deserves it or at the very least
not target children or people with medical conditions like in the epilepsy case.

I may agree on some things. The important point missing is that exposure like this prank, doesn't guarantee there will be a parent or other adult to actually explain what's going on and what it has to do with the rest of the world. That's the main issue. The ones exposed who don't talk about it or ask questions. That's all I'm saying, really. Exposure plus being on their own to interpret = bad.

lol... there are sane people, and then there are parents who think a cold will be the end of the world... lol if u realy would be doing everything to keep ur kid out of harms way, u would teach him martial arts, train him in economics, educate him/her in the way of seduction, and definately expose them to sexual themes, so that they can understand the good that it realy is... please... sex is a beutiful thing, and a thing that kids need to understand... not exposed in extreme, but if u keep a kid away from it, then it will loose it's virginity in a feeld drunk on a car like one of my ex girlfriends... do the right thing and educat ure kids when they are young...
if u dont, then i will probably get my but sautamised any day by some little nuclearshadow junior ^^ lol ur probably a quear old conservative cathlic priest who fingers kids

You would like it to be "You were weak minded" because that would make you feel better, however "You're weak minded" being a truncation of "You are weak minded" points at a very real difference between past and current tense.
You are weak minded.
Proof being generating a whole new account name just to post a message because I obviously annoy the hell out of you.
You don't like it, try childish name calling for a bit, followed by swearing, then fake-intellectual ripost riddled with spelling mistakes before resorting to logging in with each of the 8 differant account names you have and multiple thumbing down all my comments.
If that still doesn't work you could try appealing to the moderators and when that fails you could do everyone a big favour an just f@ck off till you grow up and figure you aren't the only person in the world with an opinion.
By the way, don't forget to wash your hands, other people have to use that keyboard after you have finished with muppet porn.

The worst thing that can happen to a child is get into a situation they have no background knowledge in whatsoever to help them make the right decisions. My child had a "boyfriend" in kindergarten. Most parents probably think its "cute" and don't really think anything of it. Well... her mother... didnt think it was cute at all and suggested that her having a "boyfriend" in kindergarten was surely going to lead to pregnancy at 16. I told her she was an idiot. I explained that without any experience at all or knowledge of boys and age-appropriate relationships, she's more likely to fall in love with the first loser that comes along that pays any attention to her, as under her mother's idea, she would never had had "play-dates" or the typical schoolyard "boyfriends" when kids are just playing around and emulating real life, or life as they see it anyway, like on tv. I get many compliments from teachers and other counselor types on my approach of not sugar coating life, and telling it like it really is.

One of my sisters is the same way. She has 4 children. 2 of them adults. She shelters the younger 2 from the whole world in every possible way. The older 2 have been arrested for various drug crimes and assault against women. That's not to say it wouldn't have happened at all, but her track record isn't very good thus far, and I'm not confident her methods are any different than the completely opposite approach.

At the end of the day, as a parent, I feel you have absolutely zero control of your children. At the very best, you have influence. I feel my job is to fill them up with as much information about the real world as possible, to give them the best chance at making the right decisions, because, as a parent, I can't be there even half the time every decision is made.

I'm having a good time actually. I often enjoy comments from you and phantom. I don't have anything better to do today, and the conversation with "Wish I was Wealthy" and his alter-ego Nikkidpartypooper and Phantom's were drab and lacking in intelligence (not phantom's fault).

I dont create multiple accounts, and the use of these anonymous logins has nothing to do with you. Maybe you would like the world to revolve around you. From your very first reply, you always seem to assume what I say or do, is directly related to you in some way. You're just wrong and it's interesting that you think that.

My Tom's Hardware account doesn't work when posting comments in Tom's Guide articles. Ever since I lost posting privileges for 3 days for using a swear word in the news, it stopped working. Ever since then, I have just used anonymous logins to comment on Tom's Guide articles. You may wonder then, why they aren't greyed out. Whenever you quote another comment, and paste it into the comment box, and post the comment anonymously, its not greyed out. It's just a "feature" I came across over the many months I've not been able to post comments in the Tom's Guide articles. I've spoken to mods about it, and they'd escalated the issue to the French team, but it's never been resolved.

You are right. I am weak-minded, but not in the way you suggest or in the way it relates to this particular news article, or what my comment was about.

If you'd like to continue the conversation, you can PM me. It's Clonazepam.

rofl. hi. FedEx just made a delivery a day early, so now there's work to be done. Phantom, you know what I'm talking about. 😉

:kaola: I do. I still hold to all the points I made here, though 😀

If these hackers were in the US and caught, they would likely be charged with at least one count of endangering the welfare of a child among the other charges they would face. In my opinion, in jail is where they belong. I do not know what they might face in other countries, however, I bet they would face similar charges in many countries.

As I see it, there is a certain moral gravity about this that makes the perps scum of the lowest order - in other words, they did this just because they could, and certainly not to point out a security problem. To them, I would not doubt it was a "joke." Should they get caught, they will be laughing out there a$$e$. No judge or jury will see this as a "joke."

[citation][nom]Admir00[/nom]It's a shame. amk-aka-phantom, I assume you don't have young kids.[/citation]
It's probably a good thing he doesn't have kids. To think someone like him breeding... *shudder*
