My motherboard went out on my ASUS laptop. Sent it back to the factory, they replaced the motherboard. But now, when I attempt to load new software using my built-in dvd player, i get an error message stating i don't have permission. How do i get my system to recognize my rights so that i can load new software (I'm a teacher which means I always have new textbook software to load and run).

Are you getting an error indicating you aren't the administrator OR are you getting an error related to User Account Control(UAC)?

If UAC, you can turn off by using the info at this link:
