halp pls (processor speed)

i have an intel i5 5200U processor that runs vary to the use of applications,,,my questions is,can i change the speed at which it speeds? like its 0.77ghz at idol state,,,and about 2.5ghz at gaming etc,can i change it to a fixed (2.7GHz) so i can do stuff faster?

the cpu is smart enough to know when to run at slow speed to save power and when to run in high speed to do stuff faster.

it is called the Speed Step technology from intel and it is made to save power and make your and extend your cpu lifetime.If you fix it to 2.7 ghz u wont spot a performance difference..
