As all Asus gaming notebooks, the G73Jh has a turbo mode that is called Twin Turbo and is supposed to overclock the graphic card as well as the Intel Core i7. Asus even starts with the lower clockrate of 1.6 GHz that is used when all four processor cores are used and increases them."

I think that everyone will agree, gaming notebooks are not meant to have long battery life. The purpose is that lugging around an 8 lbs laptop is 100% more desirable than bringing along any desktop.
