I get used Hp Compaq 6720s laptop.I am going to install Windows 7 ultimate. When I install Windows 7 it reports hard disk space 149GB instead of 160GB when I delete all partitions .How can I delete partitions ( 4 partitions ) and boot records , so that Windows 7 ultimate reports hard disk space 160GB after deleting all partitions during installation .
Thank you

Solution
You can't.
While it seems there is missing space, there isn't.
160Gb (b=bits) is counting in decimal. is the same number as 149GB (B=bytes here) when counting in the standard computer size of bytes.
They are the exact same number just the counting method differs.
Just like 3 (decimal) is the same as 11 in binary is the same as lll in roman numerals
