Solved! Hard drive free space issue

Hi all,

so basically few days ago I did a disk cleanup, I had a pretty big folder there "Windows update cleanup" (around 7 gigs or so) and I deleted it but noticed no change in my hard drive free space, it stayed the same...

That is the first part of the problem, today I woke up and checked it again and my hard drive free space went from 407 gigs of free space to 400...

What kind of a sorcery is that?

Windows 10 Education 1909 OS Build 18363. 1139

Windows update is still not offering me 2004 version for some reason...

Edit : Now I've got 403 gigs free, somehow I gained 3 more gigs... nothing installed, nothing uninstalled... what is going on

It's not... it only downloads some windows defender databases every now and then and that's it... I don't want to force windows update via microsoft page or something like that... this is very frustrating

Apparently, it took some time for windows to register those changes, now it seems fine. Thanks for your replies!

Probably shouldn't delete folders like that directly. Use Disk Cleaner and click on "Clean Up System Files" first and then see what's left. Much safer that way. There are also tools like CCleaner that Ive had good luck with.
