When i go to the hardware compare website homepage everything is fine. When i click on something, it says internet explorer has stopped working. it tries to recover 2 times and then quits. it used to work fine. i am trying to get a new video card for my emachines desktop computer. right now it has a gtx 670, and needs external exhaust or it will get too hot inside. Thank you for your help.

i think i found the answer. its called data execution prevention, or DEP. if an application tries to execute something through your memory, windows will stop it.

I finally ended up using a 550 ti. it works well with the stock power supply. Thanks
