same happened to my LG a year or so ago. LG sent a "certified technician" over to replace the mainboard. fixed.

after seeing how simple it was, easier than any PC work i've ever done, i imagine you could find a replacement on Amazon/Ebay and do it yourself if you're out of warranty. if that is the issue here.

Replace the main board attached to the LCD Screen with a new one.
