If a loved one with a Facebook account passed away, you memorialize their account by sending a request to Facebook.
When an account is memorialized, no one will be able to log in, no friends will be able to be added or removed to the accounts friends list, and nothing can be deleted from the timeline. Additionally, a memorialized account is not displayed in the ‘People You May Know’ list, and birthday reminders will not be shown. Previously added friends will be allowed to post on the memorialized users timeline.
