Have Sanyo 55" tv going into directv box. Have Mitsubishi M-VR400 receiver and Sanyo FWSA205E Sound Base, also older model dvd

Hook up reveiver, tv, DVD and satellite box to go thru sound base.

The receiver doesn't serve any purpose since the sound base is designed to work with your TV directly.
Connect the DVD and sat box to the TV with HDMI. Connect the TV optical audio out to the sound base.

The only "purpose" was to be able to have FM and CD player music by using the sound bar instead of traditional speakers. Is that possible?
