Having a problem with Asus RoG G771 !

Hello everyone!

Well the problem I am facing is that my new gaming notebook http:// is not performing well with games, I play Diablo 3, World of warcraft, and lately installed Far Cry 4 (And this game has major stutters), so I am lost atm because I don't know what to do, I've upgraded every driver I can and also using Windows 10, the games I play I let Geforce Experience handle the best option for the games but lags ALOT, I reduce the graphics to the lowest settings possible and then I play with no problem (Except for Far Cry 4) I at least want medium settings, I also played GTA 5 with out a problem but on medium settings, so can I get a little help from you pro's out there, please?

(If I have bad grammar or didn't make sense to most, I'm sorry, English isn't my native language :) . )

960M is a rebadged 860m with similar performance to a 750ti so the only thing i'd suggest for far cry 4 is making sure GameWorks options are turned off because the name, they make the game run extremely poor with not too much extra detail

Made this topic on February 13, 2016, yet still nothings changed lol....
I played The Witcher 3 with some problems but was still playable, I also got Mafia 3 (updated also) and stuttered in both games like there wasn't a tomorrow, I'm still lost.....
In Wolrd of warcraft I get around max 50 fps in crowded areas that drops massively too, I've updated the bios/drivers/win 10 64 bit, yet still lagging like hell, should I buy 4 gb ram and go back to windows 8? Would this fix my problems? I am up for any kind of help.... I'm sick of reading un-useful guides all over the internet, any one who has the knowledge to help me out please do!

Hi, I had the same problem. Like you, I get tired of looking for a solution. The reason is that ASUS geniuses limit CPU usage to 84 ° / 87 ° C (VERY EASILY REACHABLE WITH ANY GAME) then the cpu slows down and also the FPS of the game. I solved it by installing (and risking a lot) a modified BIOS that takes the temperature limit of the CPU to 99 ° (LIKE MOST OF THE MANUFACTURERS WITH COMMON SENSE).

Also clean and replace the thermal paste with a poor / medium quality (which seems to be better than the one you already have), and buy an air extractor that is put on the side (in the only air outlet of the notebook). I put the power mode in high performance (but I reduced CPU usage to 99%). This disables the turbo mode and makes it up to 2600 mhz maximum. Of more to say that it is a new Laptop, pass the DOOM 2016 To 1920 * 1080 IN high graphics / media, game GTA 5 to 55/60 fps in medium / high, etc. For what I did not find solution is for the gpu that is limited to 85 °, but you can play everything and even this very fast.
I hope I have helped someone.
