Having problems with not being able to read my sd card with a adaptor or when I put it in my sd card slot on my computer

Can anyone suggest my my sd card won't read in my computer with a adapter

Depends. Will it read in other devices? If yes, it could be the adapter. If no, then it could be the card.

If the card works fine in its original device and just won't read on the computer when in the adapter, you may want to try connecting the device you use the SD card in to the computer via USB cord, while the card is still on the device, to access the card. Then you should be able to access the data.

Hi thanks for the reply I tried with my computer adapter that's built into my computer no joy. Then I tried a USB adapter no joy, I used a different SD card and that didn't work either so I can't see both not working so I'm. A bit stumped. I tried a MMC card in the adapter and it saw that so I'm thinking my adapter works

So you put the card back in the original device, connected the device to a computer via USB cord and opened the info in just a folder (no extra software) and it wouldn't view the SD card?

The controller of your SD card is most likely dead if it is not getting recognized on any of the machines or through any of the adapters. Just replace it. Or if you are looking to get some or all of the data back, you will need to seek data recovery lab assistance. This can be pricey.
