HD led flashing in a regular manner

Hi everyone,

I puchased a Toshiba laptop L650-108 and the HD led is flashing every second, all the time. I don't think this is normal as I have never seen that before.

Anybody would know what could cause this ?

It's normal. It simply means that the hard drive is active or simply put, "busy." Keep in mind that your laptop is always doing something which involves the hard drive, which is why the light is always flashing, i.e. indexing, running background processes, etc... It's nothing to worry about. I'd start worrying when the hard drive starts to make strange noises.
