Hdd usage utility like task manager is for cpu/ram

something is eating the hell out of my hdds speed, and i cant pin point it, is there a utility that tells me programs hdd access like task manager does for the cpu?

i thought my hdd was in pio mode for a bit while burring a disc.

If you are using Windows 7 or Vista the "Resource Monitor..." button on Task Manager gives you this information.

and the page you directed me to, i'm not quite sure how that helps, i mean im thinking you thing i'm on a fresh boot, but this is about a 3-4 day old session and out of nowhere it went from 125mb to about 2

right now its pinging from 120 to about 65mb, and i'm really seeing the value of an ssd in a way i didn't consider before, but that aside, any help on a whats accessing my hdd so much program?

it may be your antivirus
disable your antivirus to see if that is a problem
