You buy an Xbox you pay the Xbox tax. It's really simple. If you want to switch out hardware and such, buy a PC. Don't cry that M$ won't let you use a hard drive they didn't sell you. Also, stop crying about games being "too expensive". NES games were $50-70 back in the day. You want to try before you buy? RENT! Better yet, stop being cheap a$$es and stop buying used games at Gamestop. Game developers do not see ANY of that used game sale and they need to compensate for it. A game being bought once doesn't justify it being sold 10 times. The only one who profits is Gamestop meanwhile they give you chump change for your used game to begin with. Get over it.

Lavacon, by your logic, we should all buy new cars, and be protesting used car dealers. Not defending Gamestop at all, but the concept of selling/buying used items is definitely not at the root of Gamestops problems. And, yes, a game being bought once does justify it's being sold 10, 20 or even 30 times. That is the whole concept behind capitalism, you buy something from someone at an agreed price, and figure out a way to sell it again at a profit.

I go out and spend my hard earned money on games that I enjoy playing. The developers make their hard earned money from creating them. Why should some people get away without paying for them?

If you pirate games, then you damn well can't complain about getting banned from XBL.
