hdmi, hdcp issues

I have a samsung plasma (2009) phillips dvd (2008) both have hdmi and a denon receiver with hdmi in and out. I use roku streaming tv with hdmi out as well all works except dvd, i get hdcp message on tv. I tried going from dvd to tv without receiver and i get picture but no sound.

Your devices may be too old to run the correct version of HDCP, does it work OK directly to the TV if you bypass the receiver?

Try a different HDMI cable.
Try a different input on the receiver.
Try a different input on the TV.
Try changing the order that you turn things on. Select the input for the DVD then turn it on.

No, i get picture but no sound if i go directly to tv from dvd player. But i run my roku with hdmi thru the receiver and to the tv with hdmi as well
