Hello. i got that problem with my graphic ( maybe a driver problem or something else. ) my hdmi and television are working on other laptops but not on mine. have tryed other tv and hdmi, downloaded different drivers. all i get is no signal ( check signal cable. ) have tryed disable and enable overscan. and shut off every and start tv and the laptop.
i really dont know what i should try.. have done everyting.

Graphic card: Nvidia Geforce 9300m g
Windows vista Premium
I had another hdmi before this 1 and it worked great with 1080p without problems. but 2 days before 1 of my friends broken the cable then he left my room. but 2 days before i connected it and then i started i had some of weird lagg. every 3 -5 sec i cant remember i got a 1 sec lagg. then i press Fn+F8 It only finding LCD. also WINTAST+P nothing come.. maybe it got disable. i dont know. hope some1 can help me.
