HDMI splitter from HP laptop to 2 TV's

I am trying to use HDMI splitter to connect and broadcast from my laptop to small screen TV as well as large screen Sharp TV(not Aquos that I know of). When I connect both TV's via splitter, both screens blow up in size. If I disconnect the large screen TV, small screen is fine. However, when I try to do this same connection with my other large screen TV(Samsung), I have no issues. I connect the laptop via splitter to both small TV and Samsung TV and both show exactly how I want them to with no problems. Why is this happening with the Sharp TV? How to solve this?
