HDR on playstaion4/pro

Hi, I have a PlayStation 4 with a lg e6p and pioneer lx301 receiver. When I go to the PlayStation video output settings it says rgb, but it says HDR is not supported. I have a HDR receiver. Please help.

Try connecting the PS4 to the TV directly.
Try high data rate HDR compatible HDMI cables.
Check the menu system of the receiver. You may have to change a setting for HDR to work.

If, I connect my ps4 directly to the tv, how will I get use of my pioneer lx301? I am using Audioquest cinnamon cables which are HDR compatible cables. On the receiver it says hdmi is assignable. Will that help?
