Folks,
I am shortly taking delivery on a Toshiba model 51H94 widescreen
HDTV. I have a couple questions you might be able to answer. Myself
and a big- screen tech couldn't find the answer.
While watching an HDTV channel on the HDTV, what type of signal is
available at the NTSC video outputs of the TV??
1. The television has standard NTSC video and audio outputs to mate
with present NTSC VCR's. My question is: If I watch an HDTV program and
record it on a standard NTSC VCR, when I play it back what do I see?
Will I see distorted signal 3x2 pulldown? Or will I see standard
resolution in letterbox form... i.e. the 16x9 format picture with black
bands on top and bottom of the screen? Or am I not able to record to
NTSC VCRs from HDTV Channels?
2. Same question for my present video senders and transmitter. I
currently cable the video and audio to a wireless 2GHZ sender and send
it to receiver at a projector location. I also cable the video and audio
to a UHF channel 20 transmitter to send it to 4 other televisions around
the house. If I watch HDTV channel on the TV, what will I see via the
projector and on other tv's around the house?
TIA,
