headphone jack problem

when i rotate the headphone jack (not port) it makes static noise it was a headphone jack with silver tips instead gold

Just for clarity the part that you plug in is the plug. The part you insert it into is a jack.
If it doesn't make the noise when you don't rotate it leave it alone
