Headphone leds stay on.

I have a pair of headphones which plugs in through USB port on the back of my pc. When I turn off my pc, the lights on the headphones stays on. Is this ruining the life of the headphones. Is it wasting energy. You also might say to just unplug it but i dont want to have to keep going to the back of my pc. Its Incovenient

This setting would be controlled in your BIOS, Look for something related to powering USB ports when the system is off or charging devices when the system is turn off. What it is called varies on the motherboard.
