Headphones Not Working on PC Windows 8

My Sanheiser CX-180 Street II works fine on my smart phone but its not working properly on my PC. I made it as my default

This is happening frequently and automatically.

The second image which shows Digital Audio(s/pdif) is used when you use 5.1 channel output not stereo and this gives output from 3 jacks (not one) so you can use this setting only with a 5.1 (I don't know if it will work for 7.1 too) channel speaker which gets three inputs. Your headpone is stereo and will work only with one jack(probably black).So don't use this as default
