headset microphone can not working.

my headphone mic can not working but my headphone speaker working as a mic. but my headset has no problem. i can not understand what going on !!!
i have gigabyte h110m s-2 motherbord.

this happened to me once too. open the headphones up and check if you have a cut cable or something. its worth a try.
