Headset sometimes has sound play into microphone.

I have an audio in jack headset. The Steelseries Siberia V3 or whatever. It seems to like playing the computer sound through the mic a lot. I'm wondering if there's an easy fix for this kind of thing. I was thinking a USB converter or a soundcard in my computer might help. Suggestions?

It could be that your mic is shorted out. Check your cables to make sure nothing is frayed

Just because it's new doesn't mean it's not broken, and you can't see frayed wires from the outside, you need to look at the inside of the boom

And that headphone has a retractable microphone boom. Small one, and that's an issue
