Alright, so I have done a fair bit of researching :pt1cable: on this. My budgests around 1250ish. Getting it strictly for gaming 😉 . I have primarily selected 3 laptops but iam still confused between these 3 and don't know which on to go for. :pfff:

So, my must needs are an i7 8th gen along with a 1060 and good cooling, don't care about weight or bulkiness or looks(well not that much) and I need it to last.

Well, these are my 3 primary laptops,

1. Acer Helios Predator 300

2.HP Omen

https://www.amazon.com/HP-i7-8750H-Processor-Anti-Glare-15-dc0030nr/dp/B07CZCFGX8/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1541685065&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=omen&dpPl=1&dpID=41tYKaUDwUL&ref=plSrch

3. Dell G7

https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Flagship-Anti-Glare-Wireless-AC-MaxxAudio/dp/B07F9T9PY4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1541685154&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=dell+g7&dpPl=1&dpID=41oJAFeQWfL&ref=plSrch

So yeah, what to get outta these 3 ?

I'd get the dell, if you're not bothered about loosing out on mechanical drive space, since it comes with the largest SSD among the three and it should be NVMe.

But the Dell has a max Q design on its 1060 which runs on slower clock speeds, won't that dramatically slow down the graphical processor speed compared to the others ? for example the Helios has a proper 1060 which fully utilises the full extent of the card delivering better frame rates .

I'd personally take the Helios predator, the 2tb HDD +SSD is still in budget. My experience of hp and dell's is being overloaded with chunks of bloatware which its a tough time to remove.

Further in the buyers questions its a non NVME SSD in the dell.

Unless you really want that T3 connector....

What about heating issues ? I have heard a lot about Helios's heating issues, their heat management strategy is really bad. CPU temperatures reach upto 95 degrees. And i really want my laptop to last for at least 3-4 years

The Acer also has 144hz displays but it's without gsync, btw i have seen to many problems with this i7 iam now considering an i5-8300 which runs much cooler then the i7, don't want my laptop to die early age ;(
