I want to hook up a second tv and second receiver downstairs to watch other football games on the second tv next my other tv. I only have one DTV line in the Den .. can I use that line to hook up both recievers and have them on different channels? what do I need?

Solution
You can split the line with a DTV splitter at the first receiver
https://www.amazon.com/DirecTv-MSPLIT2R1-Approved-Zinwell-Splitter/dp/B003H2HNQW
but you would still have to run an HDMI cable from the new receiver to the remote TV.
Since RG6 coax is cheaper and easier to run than an HDMI cable (or CAT6 converters) it makes more sense to split the coax at the most convenient location and place the second receiver at the second TV. You can split the cable outside if that is easier.
Is it a coax cable coming in? Just need a coax splitter and two spare cables to get from the splitter to the two boxes. Can get from walmart, radio shack, etc.
