Hi there,

What are you hoping to do with your laptop? Are you planning on doing much gaming on it? With more information, I can create a more accurate recommendation.

Cheers,

Hello. I will down load my music and use it for photo editing. I don't play games now but I like to have the option if I do venture that way. I will watch movies and I like to be able to hook up to a bigger monitor. Also, if possible watch a game on the go. Might be one I can't miss but need to be on the road. It needs to have wifi, I think thats what my DSL provider said. I am new to all these computer terms. :D I don't know what I need to have or not on this laptop. I like to get a desktop, too. If I found a desktop that has everything for a reasonable price I won't need a laptop for gaming just for music/photo editing, movies and surfing the web. And doing it anywhere in the house or on the go. I don't know :pt1cable: I do know I have a Gateway desktop I bought in 2003 and it is soooo slow now. Time to upgrade. Thanks for your time. :) Regards

Hi there,

Either of these laptops will be able to handle the activities you described. You could even go for a more basic and affordable laptop without such a powerful processor and graphics. Are you set on these two laptops or would you like to see options for more affordable machines with less powerful processors?

Cheers,

Hello. I like to see options but what will it lack in. I am not too sure what to look for but I would like it to have good sound and picture. It needs to last 2-3 years w/o being too slow. Desktop now is too old and slow! I like to get a reasonable laptop and hopefully a better desktop. I live in Needles, CA and not too many places to go and actually see what looks good or not. I like to have an idea what to look for when I do make it to a real computer store in Vegas. How do you know if one has the new chips? Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day. Robin
