Help buying first laptop

Hello

Am on the look for a gaming laptop but in my country we don't have any Amazon service an the prices are overwhelming
My budget is 1000$ and after alot of searching i found two choices that i can afford :

2017 acer predator helios 300 with core i7 7700hq. 16g ram. 256ssd. Gtx 1060 6g
This cost 1100$

The other is:

Msi gp 63 8rd
Core i7 8750h. 16g ram. 128ssd+1tb hhd. Gtx 1050ti 4g this cost 1075$

The problem is i don't know much about the laptops in term of heat management and which one is better at that.
I know that the helios has gtx 1060 which is better that the 1050ti but the cpu is an older gen well it make a difference?

Acer would be better for specs, MSI is likely to be more reliable. Tough pick since the faster video card and larger SSD are a good draw, but you would be chancing a bit higher chance of issues with it.
