Help choosing between DELL and LENOVO

im stuck between two laptops:

Dell Inspiron 15R SE

and

Lenovo Z500

I like the lenovo because of nvidia 740m and because it is very thin.

However, I heard the display resolution would not be good.

My dad gets a discount with dell, and i also like the 1080p resolution. I've always had dells.

I will mainly be using this for web surfing, drawing/editing with my bamboo tablet, and playing the sims 3.

Another question:
Will the 1080p resolution in the Dell and AMD graphics be better than the Lenovo's 1024x768 resolution with nvidia 740m?

I'd really like a laptop that shows good detail when i play sims 3.

The Dell you mentioned is both more powerful and more expensive. If I were you, I would suggest you consider a business laptop such as Lenovo Thinkpad, HP Elitebook, or Dell Latitude/Precision.
