Solved! help connected zone 2 of yamaha v765 to tv box to get analog sound

i am trying to connect my tv box to zone 2 of my yahama v765 receiver so I may listen to tv outside. I know it requires analog sound. The tv is connected through hdmi 2 and the only option to connect the cable box is through a 10 pin to rca cable connection on my cable box. I plugged in the 10 pin and then on the other end the rca cables into the receiver and I still get no sound on the zone 2 speakers. I can play analog video recorder and the tuner through zone 2 no problem, just cant get tv to play. Any suggestions. thank you

What is the exact model of your cable box? This "10 pin to RCA cable" sounds very strange...

If you've confirmed that the corresponding audio input on the receiver is OK ("I can play analog video recorder"), then the issue is with the cable box and its audio output.

Did you assign the analog audio connection you used to a different input name than the HDMI connection so you can access it for zone 2?
