Help deciding on gaming laptop for college

Hi guys,
I'm looking to get a new laptop for college. I've never had a gaming pc/laptop before but I definitely want to get one. I'm not sure exactly what games I'll be playing, maybe BF4, CS:GO, Subnautica, Dayz (although I here this isn't great on laptops). I don't need graphics to be ultra high or anything, but I just want to have a good, smooth experience playing them. I've narrowed my choices down to

Any input on which of these you'd recommend for me is much appreciated as I'm sure you all are much more knowledgeable on computers than I am, or if you know of any other laptops you'd recommend.

The asus is a better choice as it has more ram and has better cooling than the msi.
