I have a RT2770 board with a blown resistor, R205, but the rings are burned off. If anyone has a RT2870 from RCA could you please open it up and tell me the colors on it. or if someone has a schematic that would be great.

if the rings are burned off, that means that there is a short circuit somewhere else in the receiver, probably a shorted transistor.
Replacing the resistor, it will probably just burn up again.
If the resistor is in the channel amp, just look at the other channel and duplicate it, although this will probably not fix the amp.

Did you find what value that resistor is? I picked up a used receiver today with the RT2770 board and it has the same thing bad. Also, a leaking capacitor C212. Was thinking of replacing those two along with D207. Anyway, if you discovered R205's value, could you repost here? Thanks!

Assuming you mean on the SMPS, r205 is red/red/brown/gold, c212 is 1000uF at 63v, and d207 is a fet that has "HERI604CT" printed on it.

I have one with a burned up resistor at r202, assuming you didnt just have a typo in your post, and you actually have a good resistor at r202, if you could post up it's banding that would be amazing.

I'm hoping I just need to replace r202 and maybe c211 and that the fet there is still good.

I know this is a long shot, but I've been working this issue to death and it would be great to know the value of r202, thanks!
