I, personally, don't like Turtle Beach headsets. I've owned my fair share (X11, X12, X32), but have always found them to be uncomfortable and they just don't sound all that great. That's not to say they sound like complete garbage, but you can find something that will sound better for the money.
I have used a couple pairs of Logitech headsets, including the G930's. While you can make them sound pretty good for the money, I found the G930's to be quite buggy. I, and several friends of mine that own them, have issues with them randomly disconnecting, not muting, resetting side-tone settings, etc. Those bugs don't seem to be there on the G430's, so I'd imagine that the problem lies with the wireless radio. The G230's wouldn't have those issues since they are strictly analog.
If a mic isn't necessary at the moment, I would really try to invest in a pair of headphones like the Sennheisers. I have used and own a couple pair of Sennheiser headphones/headsets and other equipment of theirs (Wireless packs, microphones, etc.). I am using the Sennheiser PC360 at this very moment. I also have a pair of HD280 Pro's. They cost about $100 and sound great for what you're paying. Even if you don't go with these specific headsets, I'm sure they will probably sound better than a headset in the same price bracket.
Long story short, if you need a mic with it, then I'd probably go with a Logitech headset (although I would probably try to go for the G430 over the G230 if you can), but if you don't need a mic right now, then I'd go with a Sennheiser (or other reputable brand) and get a mod-mic later on if you needed one.
