Hello,
I am looking to buy a laptop for school work(office work).

I have 3 'finalists', yet I can't decide which one to choose:

Lenovo B51-80 (0LM00WGCK):
i5-6200U (2.3GHz, TB 2.8GHz, HyperThreading)
4GB RAM DDR3
1TB HDD (5400 rpm)
15.6" 1366x768 display

HP 250 G5 (X0P52ES):
i3-5005U (2GHz, HyperThreading)
4GB RAM DDR3
256GB SSD
15.6" 1920x1080 display

Lenovo E51-80 (80QB00C7CK):
i3-6100U (2.3GHz, HyperThreading)
4GB RAM DDR3
1TB SSHD
15.6" 1366x768 display

I am looking for as much speed as possible. I will most likely be using multitasking a lot so please take that in consideration as well. I am mainly using office applications (Word, PowerPoint etc.), web browser and PDF reader. I also own a portable drive, so I am going to do some data transfer as well. All three laptops have integrated graphics, 2 core processor and come with Windows 10 Home.

I think this topic is more based on opinions and experience.

Thank you for your time and help. :)

The HP.

Would rather have a medium end 2015 model then a low end 2016 model. If new you get the same warranty just cheaper.

i3 vs i5 in laptops is barly any difference. The HP though has an SSD which will make opening programs and general usage much more responsive and faster.

As stated above, I suggest you upgrade to 8gb of ram

Hello, thank you for your answer. I read some reviews from several users that this particular laptop is very cheaply made. They mostly mention bent plastics, in worst scenarios so much that the laptop's corners are not all touching the desk. Do you have any experience with cheaper laptops from HP?

Thank you for your suggestion. Isn't the SSD in HP 250 a better choice in terms of speed? as boosted1g mentioned, I could also upgrade ram on this laptop and end up with 8 GB RAM and SSD. I also spent some time looking for benchmarks for these CPUs and there really isn't much of a difference.

My budget is approximately 481€ (13000 CZK). I am from Czech Republic and these 3 laptops are the closest to my needs. I am looking for a fast processor, so that means no Pentium or Celeron, which I've had before. And these three were the best I could find for the budget I have.

It seems like I will go for the B51 and if I find it slow, I will buy the additional RAM or do SSD upgrade. :)
