This is my opinion from the photography point of view,
I have both phones and have used them both for 3 months.
so here is what i think. (short version)
the below is about the back cameras

Night shots S8 is better f1.7 lense
Closeups portrait P10 plus is better Wide aperture mode is stunning
Closeups Objects Tie
Group photos P10 Plus is better again Wide aperture mode
Landscape Shots P10 Plus is better (Colors are more realistic)
moving objects (Kids , Sports ...) S8 is better
ease of Camera Controls S8
